The whole crew. Nick, Brem, Mackenzie, Mcewan, Ross, Kev, Myself, Mash I think..... and we were getting blazed!

I had a fair wallop to drink and wasn't really in any fit state for a gig. None of us were really. But we went down and waited for the show to begin.

Up first were No Exit Wound. They as usual played "loud as fuck" and hauled ass. So much ass in fact I couldn't leave without stealing a set list.

After their set I can't remember any music. All I remember is being asked by some underage Wick lad to buy him a dram. He gave me money. I proceeded to the bar and bought him the dram. I then explained that he shouldn't take it because the "guard" was behind me. The Wick guy tried to take the drink out of my hand and the guard knew exactly what was going on.

For this I was "ejected" from the gig and told I wasn't allowed back in. I ended up missing Crimson Tide and Flood Of Red and the Amazing Acoustic Guy.

FUCKING GUTTED MATE!!!!!

I did manage to get in 4 times after that but I kept getting thrown out and gave up.

After the gig I seen the best arguement ever between Ross and a "Dume-fuck"

A Dume-fuck (pronounced doom-fuck) is one of those people that work for Skinandi's and think they own the fucking joint because they're labelled as security.

Ross completely kicked his ass, verbally of course.

Flood of Red then came out of the gig and I managed to get loads of footage and pics of them.

It was ace because this was a band that we all looked up to and a band that Ross has stated are his favourites that were hanging around with a bunch of fans and talking to us like they were one of us. It was ace.....

Yes I promise I will upload the footage from the bakers and ALL the pics from that night...

I just haven't had time to do it :(

Flood Of Red Inverness 21/08/08

Ok it was a Wednesday night (20/08/08) and there, as usual, was fuck all to do in Thurso.
Nutty took Ross, Kev and myself out on a wee cruise. We actually ended up going to Castletown which was extremely shit...

On the way home the inevitable question was asked,
"What's on tomorrow?"

Ross brought up the fact that there was a Flood of Red Gig on at the Ironworks Venue in Inverness. Even though Flood were set to play our hometown of Thurso on the Friday we thought that a wee adventure down to Inver would be rapid.

This was ace for me because it would be like a sneak preview into seeing what everyone has been mysteriously taking bonors over in the past few weeks....

I had never seen them before that night and have to admit that they were "fucking amazing." (Yes that is an official music term, I learned it from Logan Foord)
They played a full on energetic set but for some reason instead of being on last (since they were headlining) they ended up playing second. Nevertheless the 5 Thurso hooligans that travelled down to see them didn't leave dissapointed.

Throughout the set drunken shouts of "Skins" "Thurso" and "Whey" were shouted out as Flood repeatedly mentioned they were touring around Scotland.Guilty Parties were of course myself and Ross.
I managed to get some decent photos from that night some of which can be viewed in the pics section. I also shot various videos that included the whole of "An Hour Away" and some "Drum Interlude" as I liked to call it.

The most exciting thing about the night was probably the fact that they played a brand new song for the first time. Not first time in Scotland, or first time since a certain event....

THE FIRST TIME EVER!

That made us feel rather special indeed.

After the gig we were waiting around to possibly meet some of the band as Jordan had instructed the crowd to wait and "Get the crack" with them after the gig. We were waiting for a good fifteen minutes and Ross and others had began to complain. "Na they've fucked off I bet you, they'll be in Hoots," Almost straight after Ross said that Jordan and Calum came walking out the door and I proceeded to shit myself, point and then say "Here beiys they're there!!!"
We stood and got the crack for almost half an hour and got a few photos with them. We then went to Hoots where the support act Flood would use in Thurso was playing. He was an unbelieveable guitarist and his lyrics hit hard. I just wish I caught his name.

After all this shenanigins we proceeded to Tescos for a drunken shopping spree and a piss in the carpark and fucked off home....

I got home at around 2.30 and had to get up for work at 6.30 but to be honest.... I couldn't give a fuck because that was one of the best nights I have ever had!!!!

Hey

Hey y'all this is the first blog post.....

Heap of shite tbh.....
