Why Create this Site?

The reason I created this site is because I would like to have somewhere I can upload my media (songs, artwork, pictures, etc.) and still have full control over them.

I am also using this site as a way of letting people know who I am and what the daily goings on in my life are.

I would also like to use this site as a way of spreading word of various events such as gigs or trips away with my mates.

Jobs:

I have only ever had two jobs in my life. One was working in Somerfield with the title of "Produce Shelf Stacker" the other where I am currently working is serving as an Apprentice Draughtsman with Kongsberg Maritime Ltd. in Wick.

Somerfield

Somerfield had to be one of the shittest places I have ever experienced. Back when I worked there it was £4.80 and hour and time and a half (£7.20) on Sundays. For a teenager who was still at school that was damn good wages. But the amount of shite you have to encounter each day is beyond ridiculous.

One of the jobs I had was to take numerous boxes of strawberries and take the rotten ones out and condense them into a boxes that only contained good ones. Completely illegal but when you have a Supervisor telling you its the right thing to do I wasn't gonna argue.

The reason I left goes something like this....

One day I was working a full shift which was 12.30 through to 20.30. Now I can't remember the exact time I approached my supervisor but I did, and I asked him if it was allright for me to go for lunch. He said, "You stacked every-hing?" I said, "Yeah..."

He decided that it would be wise if he came round the aisles to check that I had indeed stacked everything. Well let me tell you this shelf was fill, so he decided to let me go. Whilst I was away on my lunch break that supervisor finished his shift and the bananas had sold out. When I returned to the shop, belly filled to the brim, I wasn't greeted with the usual "Hi Aye" but instead a hand-on-hip-wildest-deek-I've-ever-seen different supervisor waiting for me at the front door.

He told me to go through to the manager's office and wait. I did and when he came through not 2 minutes later he proceeded to give me a bollocking. He then reported it to the General Manager and they both told me if I wanted to keep my job I should consider my actions that day.

As if they're doing me a fucking favour...

That day I handed in my noticed and worked a full week after that. The pay I was entitled to was supposed to be £170 but they only paid me £50.

So because of the events in the last week and a half of Somerfield I would like to say:

Alan Bremner, you, you bald prick, are a fucking cunt.
(That's twice as bad)

Religion

I never have and never will believe in or agree with:

Any God
Any form of Religion
After Lives or Heaven
Miracles or Fate

Reason?

The reason I don't believe in any of the above is that there are far to many occurences where the stories put forth by religious people or documents that seem to fall through.

By fall through I mean don't match up or just don't make any sense. My honest opinion of why religion was invented and still exists is back when there weren't many scientifically proven reasons for things happening people needed something to blame. It wasn't enough that lightning had struck the tree and cause it to split and fall no, this was the work of God and his anger. Bullshit if you ask me but that's the way it was...

The reason why religion still exists? Well think about it...

Where else would some poncey fuck wearing a little white collar have so much people listening to him?

The whole being in control of and being of greater worth that other people is also a reason religion exists. You'll know from life that it feels much better to be the captain of a team rather than an average player.

And now some questions for the people that practice the teachings and beliefs of religion...

1) Have you ever seen a god?

2) On the 5th day God created the first creatures, birds and sea creatures, on the 6th day he created man and woman in his image and tells them to multiply and be fruitful. He also creates beasts, reptiles and livestock. This raises two questions..

2) i) If he only created two humans are we to assume that everybody is derived from incestuous ancestors?

2) ii) Where between the 5th day and 6th day did all the dinosaurs go? And where did the bones come from?

3) Whya re there two different accounts of the creation of man in the book of Genesis?

4) How did Noah manage to build a boat (with the technology of the time) that could hold two of every animal on earth?

Maybe the dinosaurs were thrown off the boat to prevent the sinking?

There is an easy answer for all this... It is all a heap of:
shite/pish/balony/crap/unbelievable nonsense/trok/sillyness
and most of all....

Lies

Drugs

I believe that everyone is entitled to do what they want. Of course I do agree they should obey the law also. That's why the topic of drugs is a very difficult one.

I think that rather than looking down upon the user we should instead ask them to justify why they do what they do. In most cases we will probably find some shitty excuse. But in others there may be a valid reason for it.

Personally I get enough from alcohol to keep the mind altered into a state of "no worries."

I think it is rather shocking that these are the charges and classifications for these drugs. I don't think you can even begin to compare the statistics for crimes/accidents/regrets/etc. caused by Cannabis against Alcohol. No one has ever died from Cannabis either.

I know you're probably thinking that I am a "dope fiend" myself the way I am going on about this but believe me when I say I am not.

If you ask me the reason people will argue the point of why you shouldn't do drugs is because they're told not to. Not because they actually don't want to. If you coud walk into your local supermarket and there was Cannabis or Ecstacy sitting next to the boxes of Frosties I'm damn sure people would change their mind....

Animal Cruelty

To be fair I am strongly against animal cruelty. It is probably the thing that I get most upset at in life. There is no need or reason for it and I would love to eliminate the problem...

However, there are two very important thing we must remember and these are:

You will never be able to establish a worldwide rule for what being too cruel is, eg. some may say it's not taking your dog for a walk twice a day, other's would say its the whipping of elephants at the circus, it all comes down to how each person feels.

The other is the fact that no matter how many people we lock up you will never run out of evil bastards. There will always be some members of the human race that have an evil streak in them and it is they who will keep this going....

Personally I think that anybody who is being cruel to an animal should be shot or given the same treatment they have given to the animal.

The Police

I fucking hate the police.

They never seem to hassle the "NEDS" or proper lunatics. I have seen many occasions where my friends and I have been hanging about at the local swingpark speaking. Not shouting or even arguing loudly just speaking. The police then decide to turn up to send us on our way because we are disturbing the area.

This to me can be put down to a bunch of bastards that have nothing better to do and like to have authority over other people. Another instance of the police being "Fucking Dickheads" was one night Craig Mackenzie, Kevin Macgregor and Myself were heading to the bakers and it was "pishing down." We were due to meet Mcewan in the train station as it would provide shelter for us.

That night for some reason I packed six layers of clothing on and headed down with the other two and we waited for Mcewan as planned. The next Mcewan came round the corner being escorted by two "Police Officers" and they said they wanted to speak to us...

One of the "Police Officers" began to speak about some law that has just been introduced to give them the right to search whoever they want if they suspect them of doing drugs. Apparently they seen us on the Closed Circuit Television Cameras...

The only way for me to empty my pockets was to take off the six layers of clothing as one was a boilersuit. After the searchign had taken place the conversation went as follows:

Police Officer: Why you meeting here then?
Us: Because it's sheltered and we're going to bakers
Police Officer: Yeah but why a train station
Us: Only sheltered public place thats open the now
Police Officer: Hmm just seems a bit suspicious
Us: Oh right
Police Officer: So what are you going to do now?
Us: The bakers
Police Officer: The bakers?
Us: Yeah to get some pies...

He then asked us what kind of pies and what all they sell there.....

If you ask me it was another case of "Police Man Arseholieness....."

Music

Music I Play

I have never had a lesson for any instrument in my life. Some will respond with "It is clearly seen in his music," others will respond with "Really? No way!"

I play the classic rock trio, i.e. drums, guitar and bass. I also dabble with a bit of keyboard/piano too. I can;t quite remember when but my father bought the first guitar of the household. He didn't have a clue how to go about learning it and after a few strums he left it to gather dust in the loft. I decided one day to give it a shot...

I was shockingly shit. Strummed full open and whapped mega distortion on and called it "Music..." One day when Mackenzie came round he showed me my first chord. It was a fifth chord. He also showed me the song "Polly" by Nirvana. Since that day I have never stopped.

The kind of music I play nowadays is:

Rage Against the Machine, Pendulum, Moby, Nirvana, Reuben, Oasis, Alesana, Faithless....

Yes I do play Faithless and Moby. Try it, it's fun to tab out music from different genres....

Music I Listen To

There are so many artists that I listen to it's hard to believe. I will give anything a chance. Right now I can't really name a band but it's either Alesana, Bring Me the Horizon, The Game or Pendulum.... The majority of the time I listen to music just because I want to. But sometimes if I feel like shit I listen to certain songs to make me feel better. One of these is "Sky is the Limit" By Biggie Smalls or "Dance" by Nas.

I trust you will not judge me for the music I listen to. I hate when people do that and don't do it myself.

Music I Write

I like to write music so that I can get my message out there in one of the best ways possible. I could go around protesting what I think about Animal Cruelty or I could tell the girl she's the one. But what if no one listens to my protest? Or she says no? Then I will have accomplished nothing.

By writing decent songs you give the listeners to either feel the message or to simply like the tune.

Currently I am writing and recording material for a demo entitled, "A New Dedication." The songs are all written about current things that have and are still happening right now. They're all pretty heavy but there is a few that are mellow too.
